About Us

Hi, my name is John, the owner of A1 Outdoor Services, and resident tree-climber.

About 13 years ago, a friend of mine talked me into buying climbing gear for myself, so we could go into business and work together. While trying to climb my first tree, I realized pretty quickly that I had bitten off more than I could chew (so to speak). I knew then that I needed some real guidance before I just started to climb trees.

Over the next few years, I was lucky enough to be trained by multiple veterans in the industry, and they showed me where I needed to place my feet, what I needed to do, when (underrated piece of knowledge), and ultimately guided me to be able to do this job correctly and safely today.

Now, I feel confident in doing this dangerous line of work. I put safety first every day and there is no exception there.

A1 Outdoor Services is a labor of love -- I love what I do, and I'm damn good at it.
